Reflection of Life

James Irwin Simmons was born on December 27, 1947 to James and Theresa Agnes Simmons in Washington DC.  He departed this life May 2, 2019.  He attended Douglas Jr/Sr high school.  He joined the US Navy in November 1966- November 1970.  In 1971 He attended St. Mary’s College in St. Mary’s, Maryland until 1973.  In 1973 he attended Federal City College in Washington, DC where he received his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy.

He worked many jobs over the years, he started working on October 1, 2010 for James Duffy Company driving a School Bus as a Field Trip Driver for areas of Maryland and Washington DC.

He enjoyed reading and collecting many books.  He was a great Brother and Uncle to all his nieces and nephews he will truly be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his Father James Simmons, Mother Theresa Agnes Simmons, Brother Allan Sherrod Simmons.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Walter A. Simmons, Th’eresa Simmons, James Simmons, Jr, Moses Simmons (Barbara).

Sister’s in Law: Serena Jackson, Keena Simmons

Brother in law: Aldolphus Wright

    Irwin great to be introduced to you from your cousin James Simms, the few times, I saw u its was more of a laugh even for know reason at times. I gave u the name Bo winkle and from there respected you as the family member of James Simms.
